Apartment Review for Newport North Apartments - Newport Beach, CA

THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS OLD AND A COMPLETE DISASTER! I lived there for less than 6 months and my apartment flooded 3 times! I was told that I could move into another unit, but they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't happen in another unit because the plumbing was from the 70's. When they were repairing my unit, I was prorated rent I was out of my apartment (2 weeks) the first time, but not the second or third, I was told the first time was done as a "courtesy." I was not given any other place to stay. I had to pay rent in an apartment I could not live in! Before renting I would research the owners of the building UDR on ripoffreport.com. They are not a company that you would want to rent from. Further, ask them to show you the requirements for leaving when you give the 30 day notice. Like, you are responsible for having the carpets steam cleaned by a third party, patching nail holes, and a whole host of ridiculous things. They'll charge you for EVERYTHING...including the sticker you put on your car to park there, that isn't even reusable ($25)! Not only that, but I'm quite sure I lived in apartment that was not properly maintained.
