Apartment Review
*Really Rude Mgmt.&Leasing Agents/Noisy/Bad Repair

This complex falsely seems to be very nice and reasonably priced. Yet, the Managers and leasing agents (since United Dominion purchased the complex in Nov. 2004) are some of the most arrogant, aggressive, rude, crass, incompetent people I've ever encountered in what is supposed to be a professional establishment. They're are always irritable, sarcastic and condescending when asked to do pretty much anything that they don't want to be bothered with doing. The company lures people into the complex by running really good rent specials. Rest assured that when the initial lease ends, the rent will significantly increase and you will forever be locked into a lease unless you want to pay at least $400 more per month in rent. I've been told by several people at the complex that their rent significantly increased upon the expiration of their leases after United Dominion took over. This company rips people off after luring them in with initial rental specials. The rent is still too much even with the specials considering that the complex (North and South) is located across the street from an extremely loud high school. During football season and ongoing random fairs and school acitivities, you can hear the school band and hired after hours party bands playing loudly from the track area of the high school. The school band is unbelievably loud and annoying and they practice at 7:00 a.m. during the football season. The entire complex can hear the band playing. So, United Dominion must be out of their minds to by trying to screw and rip people off in addition to having tenants be forced to deal with the rudest employees ever. The complex has a very high turnover rate and undoubtedly the rate is going to continue to escalate because of United Dominion and their outragously rude employees and management. I recently heard about a person who secured an apt. to move into at the Coronado. The tenants who were supposed to move out from the apt. decided to remain at the coronado. When the leasing agents called to tell the new tenant that his apartment was no longer available, they didn't even bother to try to find him another apt. to move into. They just basically rudely told him that he no longer would have a home at the Coronado because the tenant had decided not to move. The poor guy had to insist that the leasing agents find him another apt. to move into since he had already given notice to move from his current place. Also, it's mission impossible sometimes to have repairs taken care of. If you are the type of person who likes to be home when the maintenance guys come into your apt., you can literally plan to spend 3 or more DAYS waiting around for the maintenance people to show up when they feel like showing up. The management refuses to provide any type of a time frame for the maintenance people to come by at which is ridiculous. They are rude about it of course if any tenant dares question why it is that they are too incompetent and/or crass to be bothered with scheduling some kind of a time frame for the maintanence people to come by. I personally wouldn't trust any maintenance person in my apt. unsupervised. It's unfortunate that the complex is run by such rude and greedy people because physically it's a very nice place.
