Apartment Review for Coronado At Newport North - Newport Beach, CA

I will address all the reasons i rated each item a 1. I would have rated a -10 if it were an option.

okay... 1.) security - there is some lighting, which flickers on and off. the security guard is a complete tool. he yelled at me when my little dogs leash was stuck in a bush. im a 5'1 girl, i hardly think im trying to steal some type of outdoor plant or harm anyone. i DO NOT feel safe here because there was a shooting in the parking lot that lead to someones death. also, at 3AM someone was ringing my door bell trying to open and kick down my door.

2.)parking - for me, parking isnt an issue bc i dont work the typical 9-5. at night there isnt a spot for miles though. also, you have to get out of your car to open the gate bc there is a huge nasty dumpster and make-shift workshop crowding the gate sensor. (the dumpster was not there when i signed my lease but has been there since the day i moved in, 7 months ago).

3.)upkeep - this can be summed up by like three words... "there isnt any". the grass and flowers are kept up by "guest workers" but the trash and mail areas are always disgusting. also, they do not clean in hallways or stairwells for months. GROSS.

4.)management and staff - they are okay, nothing impressive.

5.)maintenance - i have had issues with my garbage disposal they fixed it after several days but it just broke again days later. they most likely wont replace it, not even for the next tenant.

6.)condition of unit- nothing like the model. walls are uneven and warped. carpet is bottom of the line, stains easily (im sure ill be charged for that at move out). very little cabinet space. NO AC except a 1 small window unit that spits out black particles all over my white sofa. SPIDERS all over.

7.) noise level - i can here everything and anything. walls are paper thin which doesnt help that i live next to the highschool and parking lot. the car alarms go off all night, atleast 4 a night. the highschool band plays and it is just as loud as if i were there. i can hear all the school announcements and bells, ANNOYING. noise is an extreme problem.

8.)overall rating - i graciously gave coronado north a 1.

9.)recommendation- DO NOT MOVE HERE if you enjoy privacy, the walls are PAPER thin. DO NOT MOVE HERE if you enjoy getting a full night sleep or sleeping in. there is a homeless man living in his car in a valued parking spot. he is also bathing in the pool and hot tub... you choose.
