Apartment Review for Coronado At Newport North - Newport Beach, CA

Before United Dominion took over, I very much enjoyed living in this apartment complex. My studio apartment is very nice and the ammenities are plentiful (pools, hot tub, tennis, fitness center, free exercise classes, etc.). The staff used to be very helpful and courteous. United Dominion took over and replaced the entire staff with a young new staff who are incapable of doing anything other than apologizing. This isn't their fault really, because the management clearly trains them only to sell apartments and not to deal with current residents. For every complaint that I've had, I've been told to write a letter to management (for example, all of my outdoor plants were killed during renovation) because they are unable to do anything. United Dominion also ended the exercise classes that were well-attended and enjoyed and will not let us conduct our own classes in place of the cancelled ones. They never gave us a good reason for this and it has upset many people. My biggest problem with United Dominion is that they are raising my rent by $105/month (more than 11%!). So, I will be moving out, but I won't miss it very much. I'll only miss my cute studio and the area, which is quite convenient.
